Connection between coherent phonons and electron-phonon coupling in Sb (111)

We report time- and angle-resolved photoemission spectroscopy (trARPES) measurements on the Sb(111) surface. observe band- momentum-dependent binding-energy oscillations in bulk surface bands driven by ${A}_{1g}$ ${E}_{g}$ coherent phonons. While band shows simultaneous oscillations, show either or oscillations. The observed behavior is reproduced frozen-phonon calculations based density functional theory. This evidences connection between electron-phonon coupling dynamics tied to lattice vibration confirms that band-, momentum-, mode-dependent can indeed be probed trARPES low fluence limit.
